Return to home visits
Following the Government’s announcement that Cornwall will be under Tier 1 restrictions from Thursday 3rd December, volunteers will be allowed to make 1hr, fortnightly visits to family homes. All visits must have a fully completed Risk Assessment prior to the visit starting and a diary sheet submitted as soon after as possible. Please use this ‘Home Visiting Guidance‘ issued in September to help complete your Risk Assessment. If these restrictions change we will inform you by email of any new instructions.
John Lewis & Waitrose Partnership
We are delighted to be part of this campaign. John Lewis/Waitrose & Partners are hoping to raise £4 Million pounds by September 2021 to share between Home-Start and Fareshare.
We have already received a grant of over £800 to provide gifts to our families for Christmas from this fund.
If you are using any social media please use #Givealittlelove to spread the word and use this opportunity to raise our profile in Cornwall. If you can share any of our FB posts/Tweets that would be fantastic. Why not post on your profile that you volunteer for HSK?

Christmas Packs for Families
We are making up some boxes of Christmas Goodies to deliver to HSK families in December. We are grateful to BT Truro who for the 5th year are donating toys, books etc for under 5s. Helen will be collecting these on Friday 11th December. Following an article in Waitrose newspaper a group of friends in Truro have made reverse advent calendars for HSK parents. We will use all of these gifts to add to the items that we have purchased with our funding from HSUK to make family boxes. Let us know if you can help with deliveries.
