Home-Visiting Referrals
Family pressures can sometimes be difficult to manage without emotional and practical support around you.
Home-Start volunteers understand how hard it can be to be a parent. They work alongside parents in their own homes, helping them to cope with the stresses and strains of life. They make sure parents have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children.
Referral Criteria
· Families must have at least one child 5 or under, unless referring for neurodiversity support, in which case we can accept referrals for anyone under 19 years of age.
· Family must live in Cornwall.
. Be experiencing challenges to parenting that would be well-supported by a peer support volunteer
· Please note that we do not offer home-visiting support for families with a Child Protection level of need, but can take referrals for groups both in person and online for these families. Families on a Children in Need Plan will be assessed on a case by case basis.
