Story Sacks.

We have the following Titles in the office which are available for volunteers to use with their HSK families. Toy Story; You & Me Little Bear; Look Out It's the Wolf; Bedtime; Christmas &  Pop Up Christmas. All sacks contain story books; craft materials; puppets/toys/games to bring stories to life. 

Please ask your Coordinator if you would like to share one with the family you are supporting.

Paperwork.

A gentle reminder to all volunteers that Diary Sheets need to be submitted each calendar month. This is important for our record keeping and in line with our Safeguarding Policy. You can send completed diary sheets by email, post or attached as photos.

Training Opportunities for Volunteers

Free Distance learning, online and Paper based Level 2 qualifications relevant to working with children, families and issues they face, are available to staff & volunteers who are aged >19 and resident in the UK for at least 2 years. If you are interested please ask your coordinator for the list.

New Expense Claim Forms.

Please note - these forms should be being used now. They are available to download from the Website.  Expenses need to be with us by 5th of the following month please as we have had a change to our policy & procedures. Link to documents. If you use paper forms please ask your coordinator/office for a new supply.

Twins Group

The next group is Friday 7th September; 11-1 at The Parks Family Hub, Falmouth. If you know of any Twin/Multiple families in the area please let them know. This group is open to any families with twins/multiples.

Preparation Courses

1.Our next course for new volunteers will be at Woodland Road Family Hub, St Austell. The course starts on Thursday 13th September and will run every following Thursday for 6 sessions. 

2. Our next course in Redruth will begin on Friday 28th September and end on November 9th (as there will not be a session on October 26th due to Half-Term). This will be held at Gweal an Tops, Redruth.

Volunteer Meet Ups

There will be 2 opportunities for all existing volunteers (resting or active) to join our newly trained volunteers for lunch on Thursday 18th October in St Austell & Friday 9th November in Redruth.
